What you get

One course foundation, tailored to every learner

One platform for adaptive learning, content creation, credentials and skills analytics—without the LMS overhead.

  • True AI adaptive learning

A Bayesian engine adapts each learner's path, explanations, pace, difficulty and assessment questions using demonstrated proficiency and practical context. The Socratic AI tutor asks guiding questions rather than just delivering answers—building understanding that sticks.

  • 60-second course builder

Administrators, managers, instructors and lecturers can upload their own documents, slides, Markdown or URLs. The AI turns them into a structured course with lessons, quizzes and flashcards—automatically.

  • Verified skills credentials

Issue credentials in the W3C Verifiable Credentials data model, signed with Ed25519. Any employer can check one against our public verification API — no SkillBoost account required.

  • Skills intelligence dashboard

See what your team or cohort knows versus what it needs, with predictive skills-gap alerts for administrators. Track group progress and completion, then export CSV and PDF reports.

  • Learn on web and mobileBeta

Interactive lesson player with quizzes, practical exercises and AI tutor chat, plus an installable offline PWA. Native iOS and Android apps are in beta with an offline lesson player and credential QR scanning.

  • Compliance training that closes out

Assign mandatory training with due dates and recurring recertification cycles, chase the stragglers automatically, and export a completion record as CSV or PDF when the auditor asks.

How it works

Up and running in minutes, not months

No complicated setup. You—or your whole group—start learning on day one.

  1. Set up your account

Create your organization in under 2 minutes and invite your team or cohort by email—or wire up SAML SSO and SCIM provisioning so the roster syncs itself. Working on your own? Pick the free personal account at sign-up and skip this step entirely.

  2. Build or import courses

Upload your own docs—PDF, DOCX, PPTX, Markdown or a URL—and the AI Course Builder drafts an outline in about a minute, then fills in lessons, quizzes and flashcards. Or start from the seeded skill library.

  3. Learn, earn, and verify

Each learner gets a personalised path. Complete a course and demonstrate mastery on every skill it attests to earn a signed credential they can share anywhere.

Create your account — it takes 2 minutes

Team, cohort or personal account — your choice at sign-up.

Verifiable credentials

Proof of learning that travels with the learner

Every credential is cryptographically signed and instantly verifiable—giving every learner proof they can take with them.

  • W3C data model, Ed25519-signed.

Signed with Ed25519 over a JCS (RFC 8785) canonicalization. Verify against our published issuer key or the public /verify API — no account, no vendor portal.

  • Tamper-proof and portable.

Impossible to forge or edit, and it stays independently verifiable after employment ends. Credentials carry a validity period you set (2 years by default) with a built-in renewal path when learners recertify.

  • Zero-friction verification.

Employers verify instantly via the public REST API, a shareable link, or by scanning the credential's QR code in our mobile app. Learners can also download a PDF certificate or share to LinkedIn.

No surprises

Where we're rough right now

You're joining early. Here's what we'd want to know before signing up — so nothing below lands as a surprise in week two.

  • Pricing isn't published. Everything is free during the private beta, and you'll hear from us before anything changes.
  • Mobile is beta. The iOS and Android apps work — offline player, credential QR — but they're not in the app stores, so builds come directly from us.
  • Some integrations aren't installable yet. LTI 1.3, SCORM export and webhooks ship today. The Slack app and HRIS connectors are built but not yet installable, and we mark them "Coming" rather than counting them.
  • Video and audio aren't transcribed in-product. Course generation reads PDF, DOCX, PPTX, Markdown, URLs and transcript files; for a recording you'll need to bring the transcript.
  • Support is the founder, not a 24/7 desk. You get a direct line, which is the point — but we're small, and it shows on a bad day.

Founding users

Be one of our founding users

We work closely with a small group of early users — not because sign-up is restricted, but because early on we can give each one real attention. Bring one thing you actually need to teach or train, tell us where it breaks, and you'll shape what gets built next. Anyone can join, today, free.

What we ask

  • Use it for something real — a course you owe someone, not a test drive
  • Tell us when it's wrong, in the app or straight to the founder
  • Expect rough edges — and tell us which ones actually cost you time

What you get

  • Every feature, free during the private beta
  • Direct influence on the roadmap, and a direct line to the founder
  • Advance notice before anything changes
  • Export your courses and credentials whenever you want

Straight answers

Do I need an invite to join?

No. Sign-up is self-service and open to anyone, today — no invite code, no waiting list, no sales call. We describe the founding group as small because that's how much attention we can give each early user, not because we're limiting who gets in.

Is my team too small? Can I join on my own?

One person is fine. Choose the free personal account at sign-up and you get a single-seat workspace with no organisation to set up — the same adaptive courses, AI tutor and credentials. If you later bring a team or a cohort, you can create an organisation then.

What do you expect from founding users?

Use SkillBoost for something you actually need to teach or train — a real course you owe someone, not a test drive — and tell us where it breaks. In-app feedback reaches us directly, or email hello@sklboost.com. That's the whole bargain: your real priority against our attention, and your feedback decides what we build next.

What does it cost?

SkillBoost AI is free during the private beta. We have not published plan pricing yet — founding users get advance notice before anything changes. We don't take card details to sign up, so nothing can start charging you on its own, and you can export your courses and credentials whenever you want.

How does credential verification actually work?

Credentials use the W3C Verifiable Credentials data model and are signed with Ed25519 over a JCS (RFC 8785) canonicalization. Anyone can check one against our published issuer key or the public verification API — no SkillBoost account required. Because we canonicalize with JCS rather than URDNA2015, the proof advertises a SkillBoost-specific suite instead of a registered W3C cryptosuite, so verification runs against our published key rather than an arbitrary third-party verifier.

Do you support single sign-on and automated provisioning?

Yes. SAML 2.0 SSO and SCIM 2.0 provisioning and de-provisioning ship today, alongside multi-factor authentication with backup codes, role-based access control and an admin audit log.

Does it fit into the tools we already run?

SkillBoost launches from any LTI 1.3 platform with grade passback, exports courses as SCORM 1.2 packages, and sends outbound webhooks for completions and credential issuance. Technology teams can also use the VS Code extension and GitHub pull-request learning suggestions. A Slack app is built but not installable yet — see integrations, where we mark it as such.

Is there a mobile app?

An iOS and Android app is in beta, with an offline lesson player and credential QR display and scanning. It is not on the App Store or Google Play yet — beta users get builds directly from us.

How do you handle our data under GDPR and CCPA?

Personal data is encrypted at rest, every query is scoped to your organization by Postgres row-level security, and learners can export or delete their data through self-service GDPR and CCPA endpoints. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Who is behind this?

SkillBoost AI is an independent, founder-led product built in the open — the core repository is public on GitHub. Reach the founder directly at hello@sklboost.com, or security@sklboost.com for security disclosures.
